Prayer for understanding of the word of God

Preface

Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.My people perish for lack of knowledge of the word of God.Heaven and earth shall pass away but My word shall not pass away says the Lord God of hosts. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God.

Above are some scriptural references pointing to the importance and relevance of the word of God.Therefore brethren let us pray to the Holy Spirit of God for the understanding of the word of God in the bible.

Father in heaven we adore your holy name.Send us your Holy Spirit to enlighten us,open our spiritual minds and make us have a clear understanding of your word in the holy bible,this we ask through Jesus Christ our Lord,amen.
